Roy S. Haffner January 7, 1936 - January 9, 2023

Roy S. Haffner, of Allentown, passed away Monday, January 9, 2023, in Phoebe Allentown. He celebrated his 87-birthday last Saturday. He was the husband of Virginia M. (Kodlick) Haffner. They were married for 62 years. Roy was born in Allentown a son of the late Samuel and Caroline (Flamish) Haffner. Roy was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. He was employed as a Master Electrician by the Allentown School District for 35 years before retiring in 1998. Roy was a member of St. Timothy Lutheran Church, Allentown where he served as an usher. He was an active member of the former St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, Allentown where he was a member of the church council, choir, taught Sunday School and ushered. Roy enjoyed music, Polka dancing, photography, and his electric train.

Survivors: Wife; sons, Robert S. Haffner of Red Hill, PA, David M. Haffner of Allentown; brother, Melvin J. Haffner and his wife Rose Marie of Whitehall; grandchildren, Alex and Liesel; daughters-in-law, Barbara Haffner-Panik of Slatington and Heidi Haffner of Bartlett, IL. He was predeceased by his sons Jeffrey and William and sister Idella Beischl.

Services:  1:45 P.M. Saturday, January 14th in the Stephens Funeral Home, Inc. 274 North Krocks Road, Allentown. Friends and family may call from 12:45 – 1:45 P.M. Saturday in the funeral home. Interment will be in the Cedar Hill Memorial Park, Allentown.
