Scott Alan Miller March 13, 1961 - January 20, 2018

Scott Alan “Scooter” Miller, 56, of Allentown, formerly of New York City and Los Angeles, where he met his partner of 18 years, Carl James Kreft, passed away on Saturday, January 20, 2018, in Lehigh Valley Health Network, Salisbury Twp.  Born in Lebanon, he was a son of the late Joseph H. and Barbara A. (Smith) Miller.  A 1979 graduate of Northern Lebanon High School, where he learned to love tennis, he was extremely proud of his participation in Li’l Abner.  Scooter furthered his education at Alvernia College where he received his Bachelor of Science in Communications.  Employed at J. P. Morgan Chase for 27 years, he was proud of the work he completed and the friendships he established.   A member of St. John’s United Church of Christ, Fredericksburg, he loved gardening and decorating his home, especially with his homemade floral decorations.  A staunch fan of Rachel Maddow, Scott enjoyed Rehoboth Beach, Hilton Head, Broadway, and singing its songs.  Survivors: partner, Carl James Kreft; brothers, Robert J. (Jennifer), James (Dianne); sisters, Nancy (Cindy Gable), Janet Hahnlen (Dave); nieces and nephews, Austin, Alyson, Heather Harris (James), Sean (Jasmine), Todd, Patrick Hahnlen (Amanda), Christopher Hahnlen, Nichole Hahnlen, Sarah Centeno (Carlos), Sonia Hahnlen; grand nieces and nephews, Gabrielle and McKayla Harris, Jayden and Jayce Miller, Julie Shelton, Addie Hahnlen, Patrick Mitchel, Kara and Clayton Hahnlen, Eden, Judah, Levi, and Titus Centeno.  Services: 2 PM Sunday at STEPHENS FUNERAL HOME, INC.  274 N. Krocks Rd. Allentown.  Call 1 PM until service time.  Contributions: in lieu of flowers, to funeral home for memorialization of Scott to be decided in the near future.
