Scott S. Dotterer, Jr. February 5, 1930 - February 28, 2018

Scott S. Dotterer, Jr., 88 of Allentown, passed away Wednesday, February 28, 2018 in his home.  He was the husband of Janet D. (VanCamp) Dotterer. They celebrated their 37^th wedding anniversary last January. Scott was born in Pennsburg, a son of the late Scott S. and Catherine (Eckert) Dotterer.  He was a graduate of Easton High School Class of 1948 and Penn State University Class of 1953. As a member of ROTC while attending PSU, Scott was a veteran of the U.S. Army, where he served as a 1^st Lieutenant.   He was an auditor for the Treasury Department for many years before retiring in 1990. Scott and his wife enjoyed sailing, skiing and golfing together. He took great pleasure in his sculpting ability, having won awards. He was an avid hunter and PSU college football fan. One of his greatest passions and accomplishments was heading the committee responsible for raising funds for the Easton High School Scholarship fund.

Survivors: Wife; son, Scott S. Dotterer III of Japan; daughter, Susanna E. Lipscomb of Catlett, VA; step-son, Jeffrey M. Johnson of Lodi, CA; step-daughter, Jennifer L. Johnson of Breinigsville; grandson, Thomas H. Lipscomb.  He was predeceased by his son Charles H. Dotterer.
