Stacey M. Alderfer February 8, 1964 - September 9, 2025

Stacey M. Alderfer, 61, of Lower Macungie Township, passed away Tuesday, September 9, 2025, in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Cedar Crest Boulevard, surrounded by her family. She was the wife of Scott A. Alderfer. They celebrated their 31st wedding anniversary in January 2025. Born in Johnstown, PA, she was a daughter of Shirley (Doell) Houser of Macungie and the late Thomas Singel. Stacey graduated from Northampton High School in 1982 and received her bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from Moravian University in 1986. She was a Computer Engineer at Lehigh University for the past 36 years. Stacey was a member of Nativity Lutheran Church, Allentown, where she served on church council for 7 years. Stacey led the Outreach Committee at the church. The Outreach Committee provides meals to Allentown School District students who are food insecure. Stacey enjoyed bike riding, gardening, reading and cooking new recipes.

Survivors: Husband, Scott; Daughter: Kailey A. Alderfer at home; Brother: Scott Singel of Palo Alto, California; Sister: Amy Yastrop and her husband Jeff of Lehighton, PA.

Services: There will be a Celebration of Life Service at 11:00 am on Saturday, September 13, 2025, at Nativity Lutheran Church, 4004 Tilghman St., Allentown, PA 18104.
