Stanley J. Sockel April 27, 1953 - February 26, 2021
Stanley Joseph Sockel, 67, of Allentown passed away Friday, February 26, 2021 after a lengthy battle with cancer. He was the husband of Lori (Kreidler) Sockel. They would have been married for 30 years this April. Stan was born in Hazleton, PA a son of the late Stanley and Mary (DeMaria) Sockel. He was a graduate of Hazleton High School Class of 1971 and Penn State University Class of 1975. Stan was a civil engineer and employed by PPL for 35 years before retiring in 2015. He currently was working part time for the Liberty Consulting Group. He received his Professional Engineer’s License in 1980 and held his PA Real Estate license for over 30 years. Stan grew up in Kelayres, PA and was a proud member of the Kelayres Outdoor Club. He attended Christ Lutheran Church, Allentown. Stan enjoyed golfing, hunting, breakfast with friends, trips to Costco, corvettes, playing the guitar, PSU Football and was an avid Philadelphia Sports Fan. Most importantly Stan loved spending time with his family in Ocean City, NJ, where he served on their condominium board. Stan was a devoted son, wonderful husband and great father. He will always be missed and never forgotten.
Survivors: Wife; son, Stephen L. Sockel of Allentown; in-laws, Lee and Barbara Kreidler of Allentown; many cousins and good friends.
