Stephanie Schuette December 18, 1929 - June 1, 2022

Stephanie Schuette (born Stephanie Susanna Karoline Benn), 92 of Luther Crest, passed away Wednesday, June 1, 2022, in the Lehigh Valley Hospital, Cedar Crest. She was the wife of Axel Schuette.  They would have been married for 70 years this October. Stephanie was born in Koenigsberg, Germany a daughter of the late Dr. Ernest-Viktor Benn and Dorothea (Mueller) Benn. She came to the USA in September of 1951. Stephanie worked in several laboratories as a medical technologist. In Hunterdon County, NJ she worked for the Visiting Homemakers and the Arc of Hunterdon County. Stephanie received her bachelor’s degree in 1975. She resided in Summit, Watchung and Stanton, NJ and in Macungie, PA. Stephanie was a member of the Stanton Reformed Church in New Jersey, where she served on the consistory, sang in the choir and taught Sunday School and served as the Sunday School Superintendent; and of the Church of the Good Shepherd, UCC in Alburtis, PA, where she sang in the Senior choir. She was a member of the Stanton Holly Trail where she served as their treasurer for many years and had a passion for family genealogy.

Survivors: Husband; sons, Matthew Schuette and his wife, Christine, of Randolph, NJ, David Schuette and his wife, Loren, of Flemington, NJ; grandchildren, Blake, Carolyn, and Eric; brothers, Dr. Matthias Benn and his wife Edeltrud of Germany, and Dr. Jochen Benn and his wife Gilberte of Switzerland; brother in-law Klaus Franke of Germany; and nieces and nephews. Stephanie is predeceased by her sister, Christiane Franke-Benn of Germany.
