Timothy S. Bullard December 16, 1955 - October 28, 2024

Timothy S. Bullard, 68, of Allentown, PA, passed away peacefully in his home on Monday, October 28, 2024.
Born and raised in Laurinburg, NC, Tim was a son of the late Bill and Bea (Sanford) Bullard. Tim attended college at Appalacian State University in Boone, NC after which he began an accomplished career as a journalist and photographer. Tim met his wife Diane while writing a story about an anti-drug event at the SC school where she worked. After marriage they moved to Conway, SC which allowed Tim to work at the North Myrtle Beach Times that was just a couple of miles away from his family’s beach cottage that he loved so much.
After working at various papers, Tim branched out in his career and became a freelance journalist which allowed him to explore and share his interests with his readers in his unique writing style. Tim wrote for print and online publications on an array of topics including music, technology, and investigative stories. Among his many professional accomplishments, Tim received several NC and SC Press Association Awards for writing and photography. Most notably, he authored the book Haunted Watauga County (Haunted America Series).
More recently, Tim moved to Allentown, PA where he was a member of St. Thomas More Church. Tim quickly embraced Pennsylvania culture by becoming a Phillies and Eagles Fan. Tim held on to his southern roots through his love for his visits to his hometown of Laurinburg, NC, Carolina beach music, family, and barbeque.
Tim considered becoming the proud father of Conor J. Bullard as his greatest achievement. He enjoyed spending time with his family above everything else. Tim was a loyal, life-long friend to many, and cherished his friendships as though they were family.
Tim is survived by his wife of 29 years, Diane (Carr) Bullard of Allentown, PA; his son, Conor J. Bullard of Allentown, PA; his brother, Dr, Andrew Gray Bullard and wife, Kirby, of Concord, NC; his brother, Danial Sanford Bullard, and wife, Lisa, of Elon, NC; his Mother-in-law, Margaret Carr of Allentown, PA; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
