Walter R. Weaver, Jr. July 29, 1946 - January 11, 2018

Walter R. Weaver, Jr. 71, of Fogelsville, passed away Thursday, January 11, 2018, in Phoebe Allentown.  He was the husband of Linda J. (Ebeling) Weaver.  They celebrated their 48th wedding anniversary last April.  Walter was born in Bethlehem, the son of the late Walter R. and Elizabeth F. (Dologite) Weaver. He received his Bachelor’s Degree from Muhlenberg College and a Master’s Degree from Lehigh University. Walter taught Social Studies at the Southern Lehigh Middle School from 1968 – 1998. He was a member of St. Anne’s Episcopal Church, Trexlertown.  His passion for automobiles started as a young child and included his beloved 1965 Ford Mustang Convertible. He was car salesman for various dealers in the Lehigh Valley and volunteered at the America on Wheels Museum. Walter served on the Saucon Valley School Board for several years and was past president of the Saucon Valley Jaycees. He was a dedicated husband, father, and grandfather.  He was involved with the Indian Guides and Princesses at the YMCA. Walter was an avid supporter of all of his children and grandchildren’s sporting events, concerts and recitals. Walter was always willing to help with the cooking, grocery shopping, and caring for his grandchildren. He enjoyed camping, boating and his family will always cherish their summer vacations, including a 6-week cross-country journey.  Walter was very committed to his dogs and will be missed by his Yellow Lab, Scout.

Survivors: Wife; son, Jason C. and his wife Tara Weaver of Allentown; daughter, Meg E. Weaver and her husband Ulises Solorzano of Allentown; grandchildren, Alexis, Claire, Daisy, Jonathan and Daniel.
