William C. Miller September 18, 1934 - January 30, 2025

William C. Miller, 90, of Coplay, died January 30, 2025. Born in Allentown, he was the youngest son of eight children of the late Jacob and Anna Miller. William and his wife, Jackie (Eck), celebrated 68 years of marriage on August 17, 2024.

He graduated from Allentown Central Catholic High School in 1952 and was employed by Lucent Technologies (formerly Western Electric and AT&T) retiring after 30 years of service in 1987. During that time, he supervised the installation of electronic telephone equipment throughout Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Delaware. Mr. Miller served proudly in the US Army from 1957-1959, earning a final rank of SP-4. From 1958-1959, he was an Audio Recording Engineer for the Armed Forces Radio, Far East Network, stationed in Tokyo Japan.

William was active in his community, coaching little league baseball from 1973-1975, serving as an AARP local tax counselor for the elderly from 1993-2010 and as an AARP local coordinator tax counselor member from 2003-2010. He also served on the Bear Creek Lakes Civic Association (Penn Forest Township, Jim Thorpe) Board of Directors from 1980-1988, including three years as BOD President, where he was instrumental in the stewardship and governance for 1,100 property owners, 22 miles of paved roads, 160-acre lake, and all related leisure and recreational amenities.

In addition to his wife, Jackie, William is survived by sister, Mary Ann Williamson, sons, Jeffrey, of Texas, Gregory, Timothy (wife, Nadine), daughter, Donna Wojewodzki (husband, Joseph), all of PA, grandchildren, Ryan, Justin, Christopher, Adam Waskie, Nikki Wojewodzki, Brett, Shane, and two great grandchildren, Nolan and Eliana. William was predeceased by his siblings, Joseph, George, Richard, Jacob, Jr., David, and Rose.

His family will receive guests on Wednesday, February 5, 2025, at STEPHENS FUNERAL HOME, 274 N. Krocks Rd, Allentown. A viewing will be held at 10 am with a short service starting at 11 am. After the service, Mr. Miller will be laid to rest at Grandview Cemetery, Allentown, where he will receive a military sendoff.

In lieu of flowers, the family is asking donations be made to Holy Trinity Church, Egypt, where he was an active member or Homes for Our Troops.
