William H. Moyer, Jr. September 5, 1952 - January 20, 2018
William H. Moyer, Jr., 65, of Lower Macungie Twp., passed away peacefully in his home on Saturday, January 20, 2018 surrounded by his family. He was married to Karen A. (Moyer) Moyer for 39 years. Born in Allentown, he was a son of the late William H. and Sadie R. (Carl) Moyer. He graduated from William Allen High School, received his BS in Mechanical Engineering Technology from the Pennsylvania State University, and served as a Missile Maintenance Specialist in the US Air Force during the Vietnam era. For the past 18 years, Bill worked as a Sr. Supplier Quality Engineer at Dräger Medical Systems, Inc., while also finding success in many entrepreneurial ventures. Bill was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend to many, who was unfailingly positive, always making jokes, and certain to remember your name. In the community, he was an advocate and dedicated fundraiser for MS research and supporter of youth sports, playing the role as coach to scorekeeper for his children and grandchildren. Bill was a fervent Penn State, Philadelphia, and local sports fan. He was a member of the Lutheran Church of the Holy Spirit, Emmaus.
Survivors: Wife, Karen; Children: Betty K. Terry and her husband Michael of Barnesville, PA, Jeremy M. Moyer and his wife Stephanie of Moseley, VA, Jarrett A. Moyer and his wife Jessica of South Hadley, MA; Grandchildren: 5 grandsons and 1 granddaughter and 1 grandson on the way; Brother: Barry W. Moyer and his wife Sue of Blandon; Sister: Sandra A. Bordner and her partner Tim DeLeon of Catasauqua; Sister-In-Law: Donna Moyer of Whitehall. Bill was predeceased by his brother Dennis R. Moyer.
