Willy deFretes August 19, 1948 - April 20, 2022

Willy deFretes, 73, of Breinigsville, passed away peacefully at home on April 20, 2022. He was born in Jakarta, Indonesia, to the late Lucas deFretes and Eliseba Kim Nio, Oey.  Willy traveled around the world, serving on cruise ships before immigrating to America in 1976 to marry his wife, Valerie. He worked in various fine dining restaurants in the Lehigh Valley and West Chester. He was a hard worker and loved pleasing his customers, but his greatest pleasure in life was his family.  Willy loved to cook family dinners, have get-togethers, and beach vacations. He will be remembered by the beautiful smile he had for everyone.  Willy will be missed by his wife, Valerie, daughters, Elizabeth Moyzan (Stephen), and Julianna deFretes (partner, Marshall Gould, Jr). He was Opa to grandchildren Darian, Alaina, and Olivia. His sisters, Itje, Ponny, and Lucie, reside in Indonesia. His brother, Freddy, preceded him in death.  A special heartfelt thank you to our caring hospice team who provided the loving care and support needed that enabled Willy to comfortably remain in his home until his passing.
