Zulay T. Freese “Zu” April 27, 1949 - May 31, 2022

Zulay T. Freese “Zu”, 73, of Macungie, PA, passed away Tuesday, May 31, 2022, in L.V. Hospital, Cedar Crest Blvd. She was the wife of the late R. Scott Freese. Born in Caracas, Venezuela, she was a daughter of Isabel T. Ramirez of Alexandria, Virginia and the late Jose G. Gonzalez Rodriguez. Zulay was a lawyer when she came to the United States from Venezuela. She received her Master of Comparative Law from the Dickinson School of Law at Penn State University. Zulay has strong social services skills. She loved to help people and for that reason she became a licensed Interpreter in the State of Pennsylvania to assist non-English speakers appearing in court. She also worked as a legal Advocate, Intervention Case Worker and as a Crisis Counselor in Allentown. Zulay was funny and liked to make people laugh. She enjoyed dancing flamenco and enjoyed people-oriented activities. Zulay loved her Chihuahua, Lucky very much.
Survivors: Mother, Isabel; Son: Carlos Jose Hernandez and his companion Dorelys Rivas of Venezuela; Grandchildren: Isabel Alejandra, and Carlos Alejandro, Sister: Rosamelia “Memella” Drake and her husband Mark of Baltimore, MD and their children, Alfredo Jose, Jesus Omar, Luis Eduardo and Phillip Eugene, Brother: Carlos A. Gonzalez of Venezuela and his children Isabella and Carlos Daniel; Soul Brother: Félix Enrique.
